The LA-based artist Luchita Hurtado died last week, age 99, but not before creating a lifetime of paintings, drawings, photographs and prints with a variety of styles. She recently exhibited at the Serpentine Gallery, and the Hammer Museum in LA, and was represented by Hauser & Wirth. In this video from 2018, as part of her exhibit at the Hammer Museum, she says "Artwork is a diary. It's really notes on your living, on your life, and you can't help but put it down."
