Mariana Hendges was born in Brazil and has lived in Switzerland for seven years. She studied at the Freie Malschule in Dornach and is also studying to be a Waldorf teacher. She has had several exhibitions in the last few years, including group and solo exhibitions. Her art is an expression of herself combined with what she sees in the world. It contains references to fantasy and mystery in the veils of watercolour, and in its depth, there are layers through time and observation. She says: "I follow the colours and do not plan what I will do, the colour leads me to the fantasy world but also to form." This year, she has been experimenting with other media such as plant pigments, not only on paper but also on wood.
