Nicolas Noverraz's artistic approach deals with the subjects of our contemporary society. In the serigraphs showing popular Swiss consumer products (Cenovis, Sinalco, Milka), the artist makes slight formal shifts with the original products; these series make a nod to Andy Warhol. The city and its marginal places, as well as the car are among the subjects covered in his hyperrealistic paintings. The artist questions the relationship between aesthetics and function, between beauty and the triviality of consumer objects; it seeks, through this ambivalence, to induce an awareness of the spectator in relation to our society.
