Matthew Gottardi is a self-taught artist born in Locarno, Switzerland, in 1994. Matthew says: In my studio I try to give free rein to expressiveness, to art. Art is a tool for expressing my feelings, my sensations, my awareness, and in the same way I become the tool when I paint. The stable logic of my work, that of a bank employee, is lost. The stress, the conflicts, the insecurities that by our nature we face every day, vanish. It is the moment of art, when time stops and the imagination begins to fly. Matthew is constantly searching for new stimuli and to find his own style, which leads him to experiment with new techniques. Since 2020 he has been exhibiting, in solo and group exhibitions, in Switzerland and abroad.
