Mathieu Ségura was born in 1978, and settled a few years ago on the shores of Lake Geneva. He studied for four years at the Faculty of Arts, St Charles, Paris, Sorbonne. He feeds his artistic universe by exploring several themes such as the City, the Landscape, and family portraits. He relies on personal photographs, computer graphics, anatomical charts, architectural plans or even his miniature constructions in order to modify and transform the image to appropriate it and give it a graphic aspect. He alternates and mixes techniques: felts, paint, ink, or even engraving on photography. The result is a new image with fragmented aesthetics with an unreal or even dreamlike dimension.
